To better involve parents in their child's education, teachers of our Early Learning Centre (ELC) at the International School of Berne visit their students' homes. 

ELC Teacher Ms. Desta shares that "home visits help teachers demonstrate their interest in students' families and provide opportunities for teachers to know their students better by meeting them in their home environments. We do them early in the academic year, and we believe the home visits signal that teachers are eager to work with all families.

In this picture, you can see our ELC1 children enjoying looking at the photos taken during their home visits. This helps them to have a conversation with each other about the experience and gives them the feeling of being special. Through the home visit program, the connection between home and school continues to be developed."
