Recently, Grade 11 students at the International School of Berne organized a mentorship event called the DP Options Marketplace. The event aimed to guide and prepare Grade 10 students for their entry into the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) next school year.

During the event, Grade 11 students shared their subject knowledge and provided an overview of the syllabus as well as their personal experiences in the programme. They discussed the challenges and difficulties of various topics such as Math, Science, Languages, and Geography. Moreover, they emphasized the importance of time management, organization, and successful study techniques for IB success.

The Grade 10 students had the opportunity to ask questions and get a better idea of what was in store for them. They were curious to learn more about the various disciplines and had concerns regarding the requirements and workload. The Grade 11s answered all the questions and shared their strategies and secrets for success in the IBDP program.

Sara, the student organizer of the event, expressed her gratitude to the Grade 11 students for being such incredible mentors. She also hopes that the Grade 10 students gained insight from the experiences and have a strategy going into the DP programme.

Patrick, a Grade 10 student, shared his feedback on the event, stating that the discussions were instructive and useful for choosing IB subjects for the upcoming academic year.

The DP Options Marketplace is a prime example of how ISBerne encourages and supports a culture of mentorship and sharing knowledge and experiences among its students. Together, they can achieve anything!
