Ski & Skate Fridays
Skiing, Skating & Snowboarding
On seven Fridays over the Winter season, students in Grades 2 – 12 take part in the Ski & Skate Friday programme.
ISBerne charters a train for this each Friday, travelling directly to the Zweisimmen resort where students spend the day learning to ski from a Swiss certified ski instructor.
Grade 6 – 12 students also have the option to snowboard in lieu of skiing.
Meanwhile, our younger students, ELC 1 & 2, Kindergarten and Grade 1, take the tram to the nearby village of Worb for ice skating lessons.
Alumni, Friends & Family Offer
If you are a family member, friend or alumnus, you are welcome to join the ski train! We have a car set aside for friends and family.
Many parents come along to enjoy a day in the alps. Whether it be skiing, hiking, lunch at the lodge, the alpine options are endless!
Space is limited and preregistration is required. We recommend you call or drop by the front desk to register with the school office at least a full week in advance.
This offer is only open to friends and family of current ISBerne students, and to ISBerne Alumni.
Please note that the fee is only for the train travel. If you plan to ski the lift ticket is not included in the price. Also be aware that ISBerne students are in ski school groups and visitors may not ski with ISBerne students.
Contact the office for the current ski train price and to make your reservation.
