Kindergarten: Ages 5-6
Fostering curiosity and confidence
Our Kindergarten programme at the International School of Berne offers young learners a balanced and stimulating academic experience. In our more than 60 years, we have come to understand that Kindergarten is a crucial formative time for every child and it sets a foundation of learning and confidence for everything to come. Our teachers specialise in guiding this impressionable age group, and will make sure that the start of your child’s academic journey will be nothing short of exceptional.
We are proud to offer the International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme (PYP), which emphasises holistic learning and inquiry-based education. We believe that your child will learn best when they are encouraged to ask questions, form connections, and pursue their interests. Therefore, our instruction is tailored to each students’ individual abilities and interests, allowing children to start their academic journey with a sense of empowerment and curiosity.
Our faculty is dedicated to promoting excellence and opportunity in all areas of learning, fostering a genuine love for learning and a desire to achieve and succeed. Our full-day, year-long programme encourages children to expand their worldview and interact with others in a shared space, laying the foundation for positive relationships and effective communication.
