We are grateful for your interest and want you to have all the information you need to consider the International School of Berne (ISBerne) for your preschool aged child. Your family can join ISBerne at any time during the school year as long as space is available. 

Admissions Requirements

  • Your child must have reached the age of three before commencing.
  • All children need to be ‘dry’ (toilet trained).
  • Acceptance into the programme depends upon vacancies in the programme and a waiting list is maintained if the programme is full.

Tuition Fees

The International School of Berne recognises the deep commitment a family makes when investing in a private, day school education. We take your investment seriously and work diligently to balance affordability with our world-class education programme. Here is an overview of the estimated fees for the 2025-2026 school year based upon your child's attendance level:

* When first enrolling at ISBerne, there is also an application fee of CHF 250 and capital fund fee of CHF500 per child. ** If your child starts after the start of the school year, tuition fee payments will be pro-rated. However, fees must be paid in full two weeks before the start date. You can arrange payment plans in advance with the approval of ISBerne's Business Manager.

Led by our Primary Principal, Mr. Dowse, this session will give you valuable insights into how ISBerne can shape your child's educational journey.

Join us for one of ISBerne’s most anticipated annual traditions—International Day! This vibrant community event celebrates the many cultures that make up our school through food, music, performances, and fun for all ages. The day begins with a colourful Parade of Nations at 11:00, followed by an afternoon of international food stands, student entertainment, games, and hands-on activities for children.

You’ll also find a second-hand toy and book sale, and opportunities to meet members of our global school community. Throughout the event, guided campus tours will be available in English, Swiss German, and French for prospective families and local visitors. Pre-registration for tours is appreciated and helps us plan a more personal experience.
