Since 2006, the International School of Berne has supported Mary’s Meals, an ongoing international initiative that organizes school hot lunch programmes in countries affected by extreme poverty. The organization's mission is to improve class attendance and student performance by ensuring that children have at least one reliable food source every day.  

To raise funds for the organization, ISBerne students sell produce harvested from the school community garden, host charity dinners, and organize regular bake sales and a semi-annual used book and DVD sale.

Our annual goal is to feed the same number of children that are enrolled at ISBerne, for one year. Over the past five years, ISBerne has fed 830 children.
