Fieldtrip La Serine, 13th April 2010
On Tuesday 13th April 2010, grade 11 geography students travelled to La Serine river in Vaud to collect data collaboratively with the International School of Lausanne. 25 students from the two schools worked together to measure velocity, depth, width and gradient and to survey the environment around the five different sites that were visited. The data will be used in the students’ internal assessment, which is a required component of the IB Diploma Programme geography course. Despite the gum/wellington/rubber boots, most socks were wet by the end of the day, but at least none of the ISBerne students ended up as wet as the two students from Lausanne who managed to fall in.
