Do you want to experience life in Switzerland?

Join us as a study abroad student at the International School of Berne

Would you like to go on weekly ski trips to the Swiss Alps? Perhaps you would prefer a class trip to the Globe Theatre in London or CERN in Geneva? As a student at ISBerne, these opportunities and more are available to you! ISBerne now offers a homestay study abroad programme for high school students ages 14 to 19.

During your semester or year, you will become an extended member of your local host family. You may live with an English speaking family, or choose a homestay immersion experience with a French or German speaking family. During the day you will attend classes full-time at the ISBerne campus in the village of Gümligen, a short distance, and easy tram ride, from the heart of Berne, a UNESCO World Heritage City.

ISBerne supports a limited number of spaces for Study Abroad Students. Please start your application at least one full semester prior to your anticipated start date. Our homestay experience is supported by International Experience, and registration with their organisation will be required. Please email to express your interest in the programme. You will be then contacted by the school to answer your questions and start the process. If you are currently an ISBerne Online student, please discuss with your advisor whether the Study Abroad or Campus Residency Weeks best suits your needs.
