For the 2018-19 School Year

PYP/MYP Music

ISBerne is seeking a highly qualified and experienced music teacher for August 2018. The position includes responsibility for classroom teaching Grades 5 – 10, school productions, and building a music programme that extends beyond the classroom walls. Close cooperation with Art and Drama, in particular, will be critical to success. Previous experience in the IB MYP will be an advantage.

MYP/DP Math

ISBerne is seeking a highly experienced math teacher in the IB MYP/DP for August 2018. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of math teaching to all abilities, and, consequently, will implement effective differentiation strategies. In addition, evidence of strong collaborative practice is a requirement. Prior experience as an IB examiner or workshop leader will be a distinct advantage.

Technology Coordinator

ISBerne seeks an Educational Technology Coordinator with a focus on leveraging the opportunities offered by technology to improve classroom practice, specifically in creativity, collaboration, communication and differentiation. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of collaborative leadership in creating a shared Tech vision, and then managing resources effectively to bring this to fruition. The successful candidate will work with teachers ELC – G12 in all subject areas, be heavily involved in classroom practice, liaise with the Senior Education Team, and report to the Director. ISBerne is an IB school, using iPads and MacBooks, and, consequently, prior experience in these areas is a distinct advantage.

MYP Coordinator

ISBerne seeks a highly experienced MYP Coordinator for August 2018. The successful candidate will have had significant prior experience in this role, preferably at more than one school. In addition, s/he will have experience as an IB workshop leader. The Coordinator is a member of the Senior Education Team, and, in our smaller school, assumes many of the responsibilities normally associated with a principal’s role. Therefore, significant experience in working with the school community, budgets, strategic planning etc is required. There is a 35% teaching load required, in an area of the candidate’s strength, as well as assuming one whole school area of responsibility, which may be timetables, setting exam schedules, focusing on internationalism etc.

German Teacher

ISBerne seeks a highly qualified and experienced German Language (B) teacher for August 2018. The position will include teaching German Ab Initio (DP) and Language Acquisition Phase 1-4 (MYP), and possibly a class in Grade 4/5 in the PYP. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of effective differentiation in class, previous international school experience, and experience in the International Baccalaureate as an examiner or workshop leader.
