After successful expos in Basel, Geneva, Lucerne, Ticino, Zug and Zurich, we are thrilled to see the Expat-Expo organization grow and develop in Berne. Serving expats and reaching out to the local community are ideals we share with Expat-Expo. After a successful celebration of our 50-year anniversary, we are committed to charting an innovative and successful path for our next 50 years. We know that a strong international school is very important to families moving to Berne from around the globe. We understand that expats have many choices of education and we appreciate that ISBerne is the choice of many. ISBerne is proud to be:
• Strong. ISBerne has developed a reputation for high-quality education and solid academic standards and continues to enhance the on-campus programmes to serve our students, teachers, and parents. 89% of 2012 graduates obtained the prestigious IB Diploma.
• Growing. ISBerne achieved 10% growth this year – a balance of new private families and continued support from multi-national corporations and diplomatic organizations.
• Global. Our Study Abroad Programme invites students to spend a semester or year in Switzerland; ISBerne Online is Europe’s first online high school linked to a Swiss private school; and as one of four IB Open World Schools, ISBerne now offers elective IB Courses to students around the world.
Expats in the region very much appreciate the city of Berne and we repeatedly hear comments about the reasons why – Berne is small and intimate, Berne offers diversity, arts and culture typically found in large European cities while maintaining the charm of a safe, close-knit and concerned community, locals are warm and friendly, and Berne is a melting pot of cultures and languages. ISBerne is proud to reflect these same qualities.
With your help, we know that our plan of balanced and measured growth to a school of some 400 students on campus, with countless others connected through our Outreach Programmes, will ensure our move to a new campus in Siloah for the 2014-2015 school year. See you on Sunday! Learn more about ISBerne.Return to News
