In October 1961, the International School of Berne opened its doors as the English Speaking School of Berne. Originally housed in the three top floors of Thunstrasse 97, the school quickly grew and moved to its current location in Gümligen in 1969. The 2011-2012 year marks ISBerne’s 50th anniversary, and we are excited to share our vision for the future with you. While the students sitting in the classrooms may have come and gone, the mission remains the same as in 1961: providing the highest standard of international education in the capital of Switzerland.
Throughout this year, we have many events for current families and alumni. We hope that you will be able to celebrate 50 years of ISBerne with us!
